flappers at day

Being a Flapper wasn’t only a matter of style.
It was a state of mind !

Daring, different, powerful, independant, exotic
are some of the words that resonate when I think of Flappers !

They are a huge source of inspiration.

  1. There’s a great 1920s-themed Tumblr by one of my favorite Tumblers, mariposima, but sadly it’s no longer being updated. All the old posts are still there though, so it’s definitely worthwhile to have a look. There are some great images, not just of fashion, but 20s culture in general.

  2. While I love the sequined opulence of the nightwear, I think the everyday flapper attire is closer to my style.

The two girls dancing on the stone fence (is that the US Capitol building in the background?) are my favorite ♥♥♥

I came across your site while I was looking for info on flappers for a drawing I was doing. I love your site. I added a link to it on the page I posted my drawing on

I hope a lot of the RedBubble artists find their way here!
